After I graduated from college, a friend asked me what I hoped to do with my life. My answer: Make a living from my creativity. I worked for years as a carpenter―one of the most functionally-creative jobs out there―and there I was, making a living from my creativity. In 1994, I found my dream job―working as an editor for my favorite magazine, Fine Homebuilding, where I put my creative talents both as a photographer and writer to direct use. Then In 2004 my life changed literally in a heartbeat. My wife―companion and best friend―died unexpectedly. I turned that devastating event into a positive catalyst in 2005 when I relocated to the Cape, naming my new business Cape Creative. Since that move my creativity has blossomed in unimaginable ways, which I hope to capture and chronicle on this website.
